Thanks Ko It was a real back breaker to try and get the Orion nebula as the camera was set at almost vertical on the head. this made thing very difficult to see if things where right. my result was not to bad but think its worth doing again October or November when Orion is not as high in the sky. foiled by height and the moon.
all the best to you for the coming new year .
Such beauty up high Steve. A far cry from those fires elsewhere. Orion -always has been my favourite constellation. with so many stars, it is not so easy to make out here. Good job it has such a distinctive belt. I believe its great Betelgeuse star is giving cause for concern now!
The idea of getting Orion in these few months totally dashed, the stars are so easy to pick out because of the distinctive shape. one from my child hood as well we could almost always see it from the topics.
Good wishes to you Steve... and a ''Happy new year'' for 2020... keep well.. and keep on snappin' them stars... another good one there... btw.
Cheers from David J'... 01/01/2020.
Thank you DJ as 01 / 01 / 2020 sets I know what you mean and you can be sure the stars will always shine from the south.
All the very best to you and enjoy your 2020 to the Full.
