This river flows only 120 days on a good year. I just cant imagine what its like to see this with 7m of water the noise must be staggering. at this time of year there is still a little flow well below the sand level. In Carnarvon itself they have bores and pumps out in the middle of the sand which must be removed before the floods. If i said it was 14m between uprights makes the river 98m wide that is a lot of water...

I have to confess I was shocked it was dry then when I saw the limits and this the size what a sight flood must be. Yes I have to say I am more use to dry rivers but not this size have I ever seen.
