Z bend west over view

Very hot and unforgiving place a week before a tourist was airlifted out dead from heat and lack of water. you only get NO mistakes in the out back your first is your last.

Z bend is a 1.2 km return walk down hill to the viewing platform no water any where but for the long climb down to the river bed.

A great landscape, Steve. You're right about needing to 'get it right', I was saddened today to read of four lost today in the Centre.

that is some thing that the people who come to Oz just dont understand I missed that bit of news. its never good to hear that but sadly its part of living in the land. love a week here I would have walked down to the river takes a while.

Looks like a might wild bit of country Steve. Not a place to take risk or in fact to do a great deal of lone exploring with a camera. I presume this river dries up some of the time?
