Moon and mars

On a night that startled with bucketing rain, i got up later in the night to clear patch a shot due west from my back yard. I got these and the clouds came back so it was back to bed.

Hi Steve

i certainly did not expect a shot when i went to bed but was happily surprised to get the few i did.

Well captured. I climbed out of bed to get a shot of this, then returned as the local trees and hills were going to preclude much more.

you kind of got what i thought i was going to get from all the clouds so all i got was a huge bonus. glad you like it.

This is nice! Don't you just hate it when bad weather ruins an anticipated event like this? I wanted to shoot the moon/Saturn conjunction of July 15th and 16th, 2019, but it rained for two days. Except - I did get a short break of about 15 minutes in the clouds and got my shot. Thankfully!

I missed that but I have fingers crossed the promised no clouds means I get the eclipse 17th am
