Hi Steve,

I really like this capture of the 'Blood Moon'. It must have been a great experience.
Unfortunately we didn't get the eclipse in England, but did escape the clouds!

Best Wishes
Peter

I hope you got a whole series of pictures and are going to make a nice composition with it.

This picture is great. I must confess I have so far not been able to fotograph a total lunar eclips.

Steve Paxton replied to Ko Hummel:

Ko i have 51 shots from start to the total till it was batterIES running out i had to stop and take the Bow and the single shot Live view Kills batteries big time. the collage is not a thing i know but my night partner in crime is coming to show me on photo shop a program i know nothing about so i am totally lost. there will be a lot of writing down steps believe me for what else i want to do.

Stay tuned

Very nice Steve. I can see the difference in brightness 'luminence' of the bottom of the moon here. Love the reddish colours. Like Ko, am looking forward to the sequence. Star! Well done mare.

Steve Paxton replied to Herb Riddle:

Herb you will see a real difference from start to finish , its real hard to capture with the huge difference in brightness from the two sides. at full eclips it was as dark an a moon less night when i did the bow then look at the shot next to the tree a very fine slither of white and what a difference. exposure is the tricky part of the whole night.

Stay tuned many thanks

Great, the colour is really striking! When we had an eclipse some years ago I messed up my photos big time, shot out of the window in the middle of the night, wrong lens and forgot to turn off the stabilzer:-(

Steve Paxton replied to Gudrun:

Yes its all about set up and getting it right you get no second chance its over so fast but it is a slow . I did go through all my three batteries on the night. All the night telling tom what to do while i scratch my head.
