Steve Paxton replied to Gisela Plewe:

Giesla thank you my hope is you feel you are there but missing the cold and the wind. its just persistence that gets the results its still to me the very same felling when i get to see the whole sky like you see her as well. Steve

The curve of the jetty complements the milky way bow well! The moon looks like an UFO:-)

Steve Paxton replied to Gudrun:

I did my best to make sure the moon was a part of the shot so you got the feel for the landscape . this was early well before any sunlight in the atmosphere. i will end up back at 20 sec to get the perfect shot. star wise. another for my screen saver.

The 14mm works fantastic...

Steve Paxton replied to Xata:

The 14mm is a brilliant cheap lens that is only used for night wide field work. I focus in the day to infinity and gaffer tape the lens ready for use at night. this is the best way to focus the lens for night work rather than try at night when it is so much harder. I would recommend the lens and the way of focusing as you can see it never misses.

A great Milky Way image (and series), Steve. Full points for being out in the early hours of June! I take it the 14mm is a Samyang? HFF and have a great weekend.
