Daniela these bush pigeon are a very big bird and as you can see very colourful. they tend to sit in the top of trees but walking along the side of a steep hill the trees tops get close on the down side. my father could not hear them as we where walking but i could. Steve

Well caught! They are big birds, much bigger than our European pigeons. I read somewhere that their numbers sadly are in decline.

Gudrun they are loosing there natural home the Forrest. having said that dad and i saw 4 of then on this day on our bush walk. most let us take photos and walk away. they are a very big bird almost duck sized. Steve
