The watchful eye!

The Sandhill Crane parents must have left the nest very recently. The chick is not visible in the tall cattails. It will take a few weeks before I will be able to see if they have one or two chicks.

Danke, Klaus, freut mich sehr, dass du diesen Vogel gesehen hast.
Ich war so froh, dass das Paar und ihr Junges so nah zu sehen waren. Dieses Sumpfland sind schon seit ein paar Jahren ihr Nestgebiet. Viele der Voegel hoere ich immer, aber sie sind alle hinter dichtem Gebuesch versteckt.
