I've only been in a Florida swamp a couple of times. I think they are similar to this. The only trees that grow in the water are bald-cypress (Taxodium distichum) and a very similar species pond-cypress (Taxodium ascendens). There are also many Amerian lotus (Nelumbo lutea) and water-lily (Nymphaea sp.) growing in shallow water. Also many floating plants that I don't know the names of.
