It was not Dante on the caliper but a mangoose (Herpestes ichneumon). We have quite a lot of them in the serra...

c'était une bonne grosse molaire qui a fait souffrir en perçant, puis souffrir en étant attaquée, puis souffrir à l'extraction et a laissé en paix mon grand-père par la suite !
