MAY flowers in my garden
There is a saying: 'Ne'er cast a cloot 'til May be oot'. In other words don't take any clothes off until the May blossom is flowering. We have 2 may trees in our garden, this one is a single white variety and the commonly know one; the other is a double red variety. I always love the new stamens which are pink to begin with. And as a matter of interest, when I went outside today, I wore a thermal vest and a quilted jacket as we are having cold northerly winds at the moment. So maybe the saying should read; 'Ne'er cast a cloot 'til all the roses are oot'. ;-))
