Jack go to bed at noon. Tragopogon pratensis

Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon, meadow salsify, showy goat's-beard or meadow goat's-beard is a biennial plant in the family Asteraceae. It flowers between June and October. The common name, 'Jack go to be at noon' refers to the fact that the flowers open in the morning but are fully closed by noon.

The seed-heads are really spectacular.
