A beautiful looking Victorian post box Amelia...........an unusual sight nowadays. A great find and photo!

Nice Penfold pillar box. Those were only produced from 1866 to 1879. Some replicas were later made for placement in historic areas. I don't know enough to tell you if this is an original or a replica, but someone in the Phone Boxes and Post Boxes group propbably could.

A bit more research led me to a photo of this same box that enabled me to see the maker's plaque at the bottom. It says Cochrane & Co. Dudley. I think that makes it an original.
