Summer at the seaside. Inverted

SC137 - post 9 March - Rework a favourite archive image.

Summer at the seaside

I still prefer the original. It reminds me so much of pottering on the beach when I was a child. Of course we didn't have such posh clothes in the 40s and early 50s, and our spades were made of wood and metal. No polluting plastics.

Summer at the seaside

I have reworked the original image again, this time using selective colouring technique. I prefer this to the inversion image.

Really cute capture, Amelia, and the inverted colours glow :-)

I vote for the negative version. For a start, as Gillian just noted, it glows. The orange and yellow also hold the attention.

The inversion has a Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass quality. ( Thus *Italo-Byzantine in spirit!)
