Filling up the winter store
Sciurus carolinensis, the grey squirrel, a native to eastern North America was widely introduced to certain places around the world, Europe in particular, is now regarded as an invasive species, and a pest. Gray squirrels were first introduced to Britain in the 1870s, as fashionable additions to estates. They are found widely in woodlands and gardens in the UK and can take a significant proportion of supplementary food from bird feeders, preventing access and reducing use by wild birds.
They are pests, but I'm sure you will all agree that they look very appealing

Anyway, this is a delightful shot Amelia...............you've captured it in a classic pose and the detail is excellent too. I like the little catch-light in its eye!
