Well seen and captured, Amelia. I think carrying a camera is like having new eyes. Certainly I never saw things like this until I started carrying a camera.

A superb capture Amelia with lovely colours shapes and textures. If you are playing on the internet some time look up 'Carved' they are a company in the USA that make phone cases out of wood burls and resin, yes I have got one
Very much like the nature drawings and watercolour studies of John Ruskin, I think. G.M. Hopkins would call it finding the ‘inscape’ of a thing, or it’s essence, revealing the soul of a thing, God’s Grandeur.
