Michel's organ pipes

The large Steinmeyer organ is the main organ of St Michael’s. Built in 1960-2 as Opus 2000 by the Steinmeyer firm, it has 5 manuals and pedal and 85 stops. It was dedicated in March 1962. With its 6,665 pipes, it is the largest organ in St Michaelis.

An interesting photograph and information. I live near Liverpool Anglican cathedral which has a superb organ with over 10,500 pipes. I have been to services there and the sound of the organ is amazing :)
