Wow, in both photos you can see the power of the sea and wind! It must have been fascinating to watch though the description of your struggles with the raincover sounds grim:-)
Compared to the results I usually get with waves you did extremely well!

Of course there were some usual idiots standing right by the edge here, Gudrun. The waves were large and fierce enough to drag them into the sea
