Same here today.............both bird-baths frozen very soon after topping up. Feeding and watering the birds is becoming a full time job here ;-))

The 'bird bath 'in our garden is usually the garden pond, Keith; but it's totally frozen over, and there are puzzled sparrows, blackbirds, chaffinch etc., skittering along the edges looking for water. we'll fill the temporary bird bath again in the morning.
