From this small beach in the south of Kintyre it's possible to see the coast of Ireland in the distance.

Hi Amelia, the construction of the boat House may have to do with the big difference of ebb and flow...??? A great Picture...

Amelia replied to ©UdoSm:

I think you're absolutely correct, Udo. Where we lived in Norway the difference between high and low tide is only about 50 cm, so boathouses are built right on the shoreline.

At first glance I thought this was Norway Amelia! A beautiful shot, very well balanced in colour and composition.

Amelia replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Just as lovely as Norway, Rosa, with probably the same weather patterns too. It can be very wet here, so we were lucky to have such a glorious day.

The boathouse and the rocks make for a striking silhouette. I love the sparkle on the water!

Amelia replied to Gudrun:

We would have loved to spend longer here, Gudrun. The beach is part of the South Kintyre walk. I really wanted to get to the Mull of Kintyre, but time was against us.

Stunning. There's my dream house, Amelia! Either building would do, actually.
