Thats right! At some places here in Germany they have already been removed to avoid collapse of the lattice or whatever they were fixed to.

There is some leeway here, Lutz.. I hope that the couples have saved the padlock keys, just in case they change their affections. It's easier to remove a padlock than a tattoo. :)

LOL, the problem with keys is, that they accumulate in a lifetime and finally you don't know, which key is for what. I have a lot of leftover keys but don't dare to throw them away.

And ... no, no we have no padlocks hanging around somewhere ;-)
