OUTDATED: PLEASE SEE CURRENT POST
Please consider opening your heart and home to the following fabulous felines.
Indiana (ADOPTED)
Indiana is an outgoing fella who simply KNOWS that he belongs in his human's arms. Indiana is determined to get affection and will not stop hugging any and every human who shows up. Volunteers have a terrible time trying to clean his room as he simply throws himself at them for attention all the time they are with him. This fella, about a year old, was dropped off at a local vet where they kindly treated him for a neck wound. He recovered from surgery nicely but still has a visible scar that will be covered up nicely once the fur grows back. He did have a UTI while at the vet office, so he has had a prolonged course of antibiotics (first for the wound then for the bladder). Those have affected his stool, so he is currently eating a raw diet. Indiana will be off of the antibiotics before New Years and would love to have his very own human to smother in affection. Indiana has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The handsome fella is available for adoption for $50.
Bligh (ADOPTED)
Beautiful Bligh, a slightly cross-eyed mackerel tabby, was likely born in early spring. Bligh has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Bligh is available for adoption for $60. She took a while to warm up to humans, but now Bligh accepts affection from visitors, throwing herself before them for loving.
Gigli (ADOPTED)
Wee Gigli is the smallest from the property where the felines were all to be shot. Like Enid, she is a classic tabby. Gigli loves affection but is still wary of visitors. We are working on socializing her to strangers. Gigli has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Gigli is available for adoption for $60.
Elvira*
The plush, gorgeous Elvira arrived a frightened feral, but she has been completely won to me. Elvira is warming up to trusting visitors but still wary of them. Food definitely helps. This beauty has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Elvira is available for adoption for $50.
Jujo* (ADOPTED)
The lovely Jujo was likely born in Spring on 2017. She's a shy girl, but definitely enjoys loving. It's taken her a while to adapt, so she will need an understanding human who has enough patience to wait for her to blossom in a new home. Jujo really is a love, and she enjoys food, affection, and playing. She's been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Jujo tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Jujo is available for adoption for $60.
Blarney (ADOPTED)
Blarney is a loving 1-2-year-old feline who is ready for her own forever home now that her son has been adopted. This beauty has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and tested negative/negative for FIV/FeLV. Blarney lives comfortably with dogs and cats. She's available for adoption for $50.
Roonan (ADOPTED)
Roonan is a handsome young man who is still rather skittish although he does love to be pet, giving buttlifts and purrs and basking in affection. Roonan has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. At this point Roonan requires a human experienced at socializing kittens. He is available for adoption for $60.
Tinder (ADOPTED)
Tinder is a handsome black dude with an adorable white tip to his tail. Tinder has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Tinder is available for adoption for $50.
Briquette (ADOPTED)
Lovely Briquette is approximately 7 months old. She's been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Briquette tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The beauty is acclimating to life indoors but has an outgoing personality and is food motivated. She is available for adoption for $60.
Smidgen (ADOPTED)
Smidgen, approximately 7 months old, is an outgoing girl, ready to get on with her life. She's been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Smidgen tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She's available for adoption for $60.
Mesquite
Mesquite is a bit more shy than Briquette and Smidgen, but she is appreciative of the good life. Mesquite has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Mesquite is available for adoption for $60.
Sizzle
Sizzle, approximately 7 months old, is a shy, reserved young lady. Adapting to a huge change in her life has been harder on her than her littermates. Sizzle has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. The beauty tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is available for adoption for $60 but at this point requires a patient, understanding human.
Zillo (One Day Available for Adoption)
Zillo, such a hunk of gray long-haired goodness, is available for adoption for $60. He may have been born in May as the homeowners indicated, but I believe that he may be 1-2 years old. Zillo arrived feral but has fallen for affection, welcoming belly scritches, purring away. Zillo has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Zillo requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home.
Taurill (One Day Available for Adoption)
Taurill has a luxurious coat and a gentle way about him. He was born in May 2017 per the homeowners. While he arrived feral, Taurill definitely loves affection. He's been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Taurill tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Taurill requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home. He is available for adoption for $60.
Tynnan (One Day Available for Adoption)
Tynnan is a talkative young man, born in May 2017. He and his brother Taurill arrived feral, but they have been won over to the benefits of indoor living with humans. Tynnan has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Tynnan has been slower at falling for affection and requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home. Tynnan is available for adoption for $60.
Rudy (FeLV+)
Rudy is a delightful young man, nearing 3 months old, who arrived in rough shape but now delights in life. Rudy has been neutered and vaccinated against distemper. The wee boy unfortunately tested positive for feline leukemia x2 and now resides in our feline leukemia room. With that said, Rudy has a whole lot of loving to give and an infectious love of life. Rudy would love to find a forever home to cherish him. Rudy is available for adoption for $60.
Minx (FeLV+)
Adorable wee Minx was found in hedges near a highway, a friendly mite who was likely dumped. This wee girl will be spayed on 9/26/17 and tested for FIV/FeLV. She has been vaccinated against distemper. Minx will be available for adoption for $60.
Violet (FeLV+)
Violet is a lovely two-year-old calico who has the misfortune of being positive for feline leukemia. Violet is energetic and outgoing, a loving, friendly girl. She does have chronic runny eyes, but otherwise this girl is doing quite well. She has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Violet would love a forever home of her own. She'd definitely enjoy having a fellow FeLV+ buddy. Violet is available for adoption for $40.
Miss Flick*
Three-year-old Miss Flick was trapped as a feral kitten. She has been undergoing socialization, but Miss Flick doesn't show well as she doesn't trust strangers. In general, although she can be picked up and has had her claws trimmed without incident, Miss Flick really isn't overly fond of having her four paws off the ground. Miss Flick has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50 but requires a very understanding human.
MoMo
MoMo arrived into our care declawed. MoMo, now at least 11 years old, quite possibly significantly older, was found dodging cars scrounging for food in a grocery store parking lot. MoMo is a very quirky boy although his OCD tendencies are mellowing with age. MoMo does not want to live with other adult males although the adult females adore him and he enjoys kittens. MoMo used wee-wee pads instead of litterboxes when he arrived in our care. He has since had declaw salvage surgery to remove fragments of bone that plague him for years. MoMo now uses the litterbox to urinate but still prefers wee-wee pads for pooping. MoMo is neutered, dewormed, and has been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and FeLV. MoMo's overall health has declined, but his labwork has all been normal. We are not sure how much longer the dear boy has, but he would love to have a devoted human to love him until his day comes. Adoption fee: $40. By the way, MoMo is hands down the best hugger in the house.
Lulu*
Lulu remains a timid girl, shutting down whenever visitors are in her area. She loves other felines, and she is fond of doritos, trying to steal them whenever they are eaten. Lulu is not for just anyone. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Lulu tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Lulu is available for adoption for $40.
Frazzles & Keebler (ADOPTED)
Frazzles & Keebler are bonded brothers. They trapped at a local gas station. Frazzles was missing half his tail, and what remained had significant damage. Frazzle was neutered and had his tail amputated at the same time. Keebler took a bit longer to warm up, but now loves interacting with others. They have been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Both tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Frazzles had a second surgery only to discover afterward that the reason he needed the second surgery was that he had a reaction to the deep sutures. As he has deep sutures in his tail stub, Frazzles is on steroids for a total of three months. One deep suture has worked its way out, but he still has others that are expected to dissolve before March. These beautiful boys are available for adoption for $100 for the pair.
Waif
Waif is a gorgeous young momma. She's been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Waif tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is available for adoption for $50.
Britta (Adopted)
The lovely Britta was a ratter extraordinaire on the property where she originated, as well as the matriarch of the colony. Britta arrived very pregnant, and her five kittens have all since been adopted into warm, safe, loving homes. Britta herself has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. During her spay, however, one of her molars broke off at the root. So Britta will be available for adoption for $50 once she has had dental work done.
Legacy (Adopted)
Legacy is a gorgeous young lady who will be available for adoption for $60 once spayed. Legacy and her littermates were scheduled for surgery, but Faun developed diarrhea. All three were held back as a precaution. All three have also been treated with metronidazole. Legacy has been vaccinated against distemper.
Magnum (Adopted)
Handsome boy Magnum, a classic tabby, will be availablef or adoption for $60 once neutered. His sisters developed diarrhea, so we kept the whole litter back from their spay/neuter appointment. All have been treated with metronidazole. We hope to get them in for their surgeries in early January.
Faun (Adopted)
Faun is a precious young lady who was supposed to be spayed already, but she developed diarrhea the week prior to the surgery. We kept the whole litter back. They are now on metronidazole. The beauties will be spayed, hopefully in early January, then available for adoption for $60.
Ryn (Adopted)
Ryn and her sisters were exposed to diarrhea, so they missed their appointment to be spayed. The whole crew has been treated with metronidazole. Then this lovely litter of orange goodness will be available for adoption for $60 each.
Rishi (Adopted)
Rishi and her sisters were exposed to diarrhea, so they missed their appointment to be spayed. The whole crew has been treated with metronidazole. This orange floof and her sisters will be available for adoption for $60 once spayed.
Malia (Adopted)
Malia and her sisters missed their spay date as a precaution after they were exposed to diarrhea. The whole crew has been treated with metronidazole. They will all be available for adoption for $60 each once they have their spays (hopefully in early January).
Fia
The lovely wee Fia is a week or two younger than the other tiny mites from the property. She is the only survivor of Chandrila's litter. Fia was scheduled to be spayed, but she ended up with diarrhea. We switched out the surgery schedule, and Fia will be available for adoption for $60 once she is spayed.
We added Quibble & Kibitz, about 6-month-old DMH felines who will be ready for homes once more socialized.
