Jersey (ADOPTED)
Jersey underwent 12-weeks of treatment for ringworm along with her kittens when she arrived. Once that was cleared, it was discovered that she also had Demodex mites. Thankfully, all of that is finally behind her. Jersey has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. This gorgeous, outgoing, affectionate momma tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Jersey is somewhat nervous around strangers, but she gives her heart to her human. Jersey is a cat who wants to be with her human and will follow that person all over the entire house. Jersey is available for adoption for $50.
Chiffon (ADOPTED)
Chiffon is a sweet girl, perhaps 3-6 years old, who is happy to be off the streets. Chiffon has come a long, long way. She is a mellow, low-energy girl who wants nothing more than to cuddle. Oh, and food. Chiffon likes to eat. Chiffon tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper as well as dewormed. This beauty uses the litterbox faithfully. She is spayed. Chiffon is available for adoption for $50.
Boboli (ADOPTED)
Boboli arrived as a scared, pregnant feral. After raising her own kittens, she fostered a couple more litters for us. This beautiful young lady (maybe 2 years old) has adapted wonderfully well to interacting with people. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Boboli tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She will require an understanding home with plenty of patience to help her adapt but is well worth it. Boboli is available for adoption for $50.
Ellie (ADOPTED)
Ellie had a litter of kittens on a property, and by the time we became involved only one kitten remained (his guesstimated birth date was 11/7/14 based on what the homeowner knew). The pair joined us on 1/16/15. Ellie, albeit shy, has been around humans in the past. She was spayed on 2/11/15 as well as vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Ellie tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She was treated for many, many months for a persistent ear infection. Ultimately, surgery was required to remove Ellie's left ear in order to remove a polyp that had blown out her middle ear. Surgery went beautifully, and Ellie is THRILLED to be free of the chronic excruciating pain that likely plagued her since kittenhood. Ellie has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Ellie LOVES other cats and ideally would like a home with at least one other good-natured feline. She is available for adoption for $50.
Arizona (ADOPTED)
Arizona arrived in our care with her three kittens. She was such a devoted, loving momma. Her kittens were adopted long ago. Sadly, Arizona tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, felines with FIV can live a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is not readily transmissible to other felines as it requires a puncture wound. As long as there is peace in the house, FIV+ felines can coexist with FIV- felines. A calm home would be best for her. No small, active children. Arizona is spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She uses the litterbox faithfully and has been dewormed. Adoption fee: $40.
Miss Farkus
One-year-old Miss Farkus was trapped as an older kitten along with her sisters. As they were all completely wild, they have undergone socialization. Miss Farkus loves human touch, and she is very food motivated. The beauty enjoys being carried around in her human's arms, purring up a storm. However, she remains nervous around strangers. Miss Farkus has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. She is negative for FIV/FeLV. Miss Farkus uses the litterbox faithfully, and she will do her very best to keep down the insect population in her forever home. Miss Farkus can jump four feet into the air to artfully catch a tiny moth between her front two paws. Impressive. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50.
Miss Flick
One-year-old Miss Flick, like her sisters, was trapped as a feral kitten. She has been undergoing socialization. Thankfully, Miss Flick is more comfortable around strangers, willing to take treats offered to her by unknown hands. However, we are still working on getting her comfortable being picked up by others. While she can be picked up and has had her claws trimmed without incident, she really isn't overly fond of having her four paws off the ground. Miss Flick has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50 but requires a home that is prepared to continue socializing her.
Whisper
Whisper is a precious young man born in October. 2014 He has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He was quite thin when he arrived and has been happily eating up a storm. Whisper has been dewormed and uses a litterbox faithfully. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He will need an understanding home to help him with the transition as Whisper will likely be nervous in a new environment. Whisper gets along fine with other felines and doesn't have a problem with the dogs in his foster home. Of note, Whisper's eyes water when he eats leaving him with chronically stained fur on his face. Whisper is available for adoption for $50.
India
India Pale Ale, now 1 year old, was trapped behind a bar in Prior Lake. India has been adapting well and seeks out loving. However, she is frightened of strangers. India will require someone with patience to adopt her. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. India tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Adoption Fee: $50.
Pandora
Pandora is an ~7 year-old girl who was returned to the rescue because she started hiding. Well, Pandora's teeth were literally rotting out of her mouth causing a great deal of pain. We had twelve teeth removed, and she has been coming back out of her shell. I am so happy for the girl. She definitely is still shy around strangers, and she requires an understanding forever home. Pandora enjoys cuddling on my lap and eats up loving, but she will need plenty of time to adapt to new humans. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Pandora is available for adoption for $40.
Meadowlark (ADOPTED)
Meadowlark joined us as a pregnant feral adult on 5/13/15. She sadly rejected her litter (they were raised by Devonshire and adopted once 8 weeks old). Over time, however, she has been won. Meadowlark loves affection and wins the hearts of visitors. In spite of making the sort-list of many adopters, she is still waiting patiently for her forever humans. Meadowlark has been spayed and vaccinated against both rabies and distemper. She uses the litter box faithfully and has been dewormed. Available for Adoption for $50.
Matrix
Matrix arrived as a feral older kitten. His two siblings socialized more quickly and have been adopted. Matrix remains a work in progress, but he has an amazingly sweet personality. Matrix has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Matrix currently requires a home willing to work with him. He'll need a smaller space and someone willing to create positive associations (e.g., human = food, hence no human = no food). Matrix is available for adoption for $50.
MoMo (SPECIAL NEEDS)
MoMo arrived into our care declawed. MoMo, now approximately 9 years old, was found dodging cars scrounging for food in a grocery store parking lot. MoMo is a very quirky boy although his OCD tendencies are mellowing with age. MoMo does not want to live with other adult males although the adult females adore him and he enjoys kittens. MoMo used wee-wee pads instead of litterboxes when he arrived in our care. He has since had declaw salvage surgery to remove fragments of bone that plague him for years. MoMo now uses the litterbox. However, we'd recommend having wee-wee pads by litterboxes for now just in case. MoMo is neutered, dewormed, and has been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and FeLV. Adoption fee: $40. By the way, MoMo is hands down the best hugger in the house.
Mr. Grigsby (allergic to cat food)
Mr. Grigsby is a gregarious, outgoing feline. People who visit to choose a home often fall in love with his handsome looks, outgoing personality, and soft fur. However, he will need a special home. After all, Mr. Grigsby is allergic to standard cat food. He can have limited ingredient duck and pea without difficulty or, what we feed him, ground up chicken from Woody's Pet Food Deli. Of note, it isn't as simple as that. Why not? Mr. Grigsby is food obsessed. He will go after any food in the sink and even has figured out ways to open cabinets (now all have magnets holding them closed). This boy will tear into bags of anything left on the counter. We do our best to keep Mr. Grigsby away from anything that will cause him to react, but he manages to get into something every six to eight months or so. When it happens, he needs to have a steroid. His face swells and his paws swell. His lips ulcerate. If Mr. Grigsby doesn't get a steroid in time, his paw pads crack and his paws become secondarily infected thanks to the litterbox. Yep, it's best to catch it early. Mr. Grigsby requires a home that can medically care for an allergic reaction. An organized kitchen is a must, one where nothing is left out for him to devour. With all that said, Mr. Grigsby is definitely worth all the extra effort. He's been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. Adoption fee: $40.
Ninja*
Ninja has been a socialization project. Thankfully, this beauty has come a long, long, long way. Ninja arrived front-declawed and very pregnant. Her kittens were born on 8/22/15 and all have been adopted. Ninja has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. The beauty tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Ninja requires a home with experience with cats without other cats or dogs. Ninja is available to the right home for $40.
Monkey (ADOPTED)
Monkey is a gorgeous young lady with a lot of love to give and an abundance of energy. This beautiful young lady has tested negative for FIV and FeLV not once but TWICE. However, we plan to test her one more time before she is available for adoption as her sister Taboo tested positive for feline leukemia. Her three-month test date is 3/24/16. Negative! Taboo has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She is a delightful young lady, still a kitten, who is ready for her forever home. Adoption fee: $60.
Gilmore (One Day Available for Adoption)
Gilmore is a sweet-natured, uber handsome cross-eyed flame point young man. He's about 10 months old and has been learning to shed his feral ways. This handsome fella will be neutered as well as vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Gilmore clearly LOVES other cats and will want his forever home to have a feline-friendly feline buddy. Gilmore will be available for adoption for $60.
Harlequin (DECEASED, presumed FIP)
If anyone has it in his or her heart to adopt a precious young lady with feline leukemia, Harlequin is a loving, outgoing 1-year-old who has the misfortune of carrying that awful virus. Harlequin seems healthy overall but does have some gingivitis. She LOVES people and warms up quickly. Harlequin has been spayed as well as vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Harlequin has been dewormed and uses the litterbox faithfully. She cannot live with cats who do not have a history of feline leukemia. Adoption fee: $40.
Mooch (DECEASED, metastatic cancer)
Mooch arrived in rough shape. We are still nursing him back to health. I trust he'll make it. Once he is neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper, this good-natured kitten will be ready for a forever home. Adoption fee will be $60.
