is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science
and history of photography.
This is the 4th year that our club's World Photography Day group will honor the day and we will be accepting photographs taken on Monday, August 19th, 2024.
Each photographer may submit one photo.
Submissions will be accepted through the end of August to allow time for editing, processing, and uploading.

The group is for fun - to celebrate that photography was gifted to us patent free on this day. We do this here on ipernity by all taking a photo on the same day. The photo should be your best one of the day. The way it relates to photography is that it is a photograph and that hopefully you share why you chose it to share with the group. The first year had more people focusing on their cameras etc, but it was never a requirement. Really we want to connect with each other as a club by seeing each person's world through their eyes on a single day and hopefully getting to read a bit about either how they photograph, why they got into photography, or what was special about the thing they photographed.
In other words we are celbrating the art, craft, science and history of photography by photographing all together. So yes, as long as the photo is taken on the 19th (in your own time zone), then it will be accepted into the group. If you look at descriptions and messages on the individual photos, you will see on some of them more details about the special connections they have to photography.
Not sure if I'm making it clear. Please ask if you still don't understand.
