Dear members and friends of ipernity,
1) Winter is here.
Yesterday was the meteorological beginning of winter. We have updated the homepage pictures accordingly. We thank all those who contributed with pictures, as well as those who helped with the selection. You can browse the picture collection, which also contains many new photos, in this album, but also as a slide show on YouTube.
2) Take your camera to snap fresh winter pictures.
If you feel the desire to show winter pictures of your own on our homepage, take your camera and make some. Now is the best time to do it. You don't have to go outside for that. Good indoor photos are also very suitable. You can find useful tips in these articles: The ipernity homepage Part 1 and Part 2.
(Rob has been working extra hard this last month. Thanks Rob!)
3) Explore ▷ New function has been updated.
In accordance with various appeals, the maximum delay you can expect for new uploads to appear in Explore ▷ New is now only 10 minutes. Moreover, the function has been modified so that pictures of your blocked contacts are no longer displayed. Please note: If you block someone all comments posted by that person in your space will be deleted and all messages that person has sent to you will be deleted. This cannot be reversed, see FAQ 9.2.
4) Noteworthy pictures can now be displayed in the lightbox view.
In the interest of presenting our selection of particularly noteworthy photos to the public in an even more appealing way, we have now also implemented a lightbox view for them, click here to try it out.
5) Previous ipermail sending limit removed.
The option for sending an ipermail to all one's contacts is no longer limited to 50 people. This also means that Group Administrators can now send an ipermail to all group members at once.

Therefore, other motifs for the homepage are of course welcome at any time, as long as they fit into the given format. I recommend reading the above mentioned articles on this subject, especially: The ipernity Homepage - Part 2
Join in. It's fun to shoot pictures for the homepage.
