Hi there, long time no see. Do you remember Instagram before it went Reel-Machine? And the times it showed you the pictures your friends and contacts posted instead of just ads and "popular" stuff that the algorithm thinks you "have to see", mostly short videos, ignoring the ones you want to see? Do you miss the "i show you my pictures, you show me yours"-times?

Well, there's an alternative in the Fediverse, called "Pixelfed". Old school "just the pictures of my contacts, chronologically"-Timeline. Like Instagram 15 years ago.
