Listening online music while working
? My friends have probably noticed that I like ambient music. Years ago I used to listen to it on SomaFM. Then I discovered SoundCloud, and started to collect and listen my own playlist there. But now SoundCloud has also started to harash people with advertisements. Currently they only advertise their own paid plans, but probably it is the first sign of them to get rid of the "free riders". Just as we have done here at ipernity.

I have nothing against paid services, if the quality meets the price. But since I already pay for services like Netflix, I just can't afford to pay "few bucks" more per month for number of services. I only wish that the price would be a little lower... And now that SoundCloud is putting a price tag on their services, I then rather consider other obtions.

So, I returned to SomaFM, where their Groove Salad is my favorite dish. I even donated them some money thanks to all the years they have managed to keep their service open.

I also discovered Deezer again giving three months free Premium plans, which I immediately supbscribed to.

I don't like playlists. Neither my own, nor those of my local radio station, because everything is drooling down and nothing new is coming into the ear. Last year I got myself new stations via DAB+ whose playlists are certainly playing, but don't annoy me yet. But the quality is unique. So I listen to Radio Bob every day, and I'm close to headbanging. But I also enjoy the prescribed silence and #stayathome, while I dust off old photo table hippos and upload new texts. Thumbs up!

It so much depends on the playlist. SoundCloud actually offered playlists that introduced new music. Or at least new to me.

But I understand your point.
