Tampere Hall
Here's a place right next door (my door), that I forget to appreciate enough. They claim to have a world class acoustics there in the main hall. That is also the new home of Moomin museum, and place of many venues arranged in Tampere.

I will be so free and also put a place from our capital that we dont appreciate enough.
Unfortunatelly its not on english but on our native but photos are nice.
Acoustics are also very good and many world class musical artists love to come only for the sound.

It already is, Amelia ;-) My personal favorite is the annual Tampere Film Festival :

tamperefilmfestival.fi

It is specialized on short films.

hehe,cool,didnt went there before. ;)
Before a couple of years they started to open it more for other kinds of music and performances then strictly classical music,of course not anyone was happy with this decision of a new director but i think this was a good idea,it shaked a bit this bastions of snobizm, lol.

Now there is a lot for everybody,so program is really diverse and i really must soon go and enjoy some program, last time i went there on chinese circus.

I guess the name Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall has been a little restricting, making people to think that the concert hall should be used only for classical music.

In case of our Tampere Hall, it has been used for all kinds of events since it was opened in 1990. Some funny facts about Tampere Hall. On the exact same place there was a slaughterhouse between 1910–1962, and a zoo(!) between 1964–1972. So, depending on the concert, one can say it was either slaughter or zoo! =D
