I had purchased some stars moulds, which surprised me when they came - they were so small, and I have spent many days wondering what I can do with them. Then with the Tibetan style pendants, with those little circles at the base, they cried out to be added to them.
See what I mean? They do look different. I had also done other kinds of colouring with a different kind of moulds -
I'm quite pleased with these, but I do wonder what else I can add to them to make them more different from the usual.
I did find another shape to try to colour, and I was quite pleased with the outcome.
I haven't really done much else these past few days though - maybe the loss of my cat Pippin and then the loss of my best friend, Mickey - have taken their toll and I just can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything. At least today the sun shone for most of the day - and temperatures actually rose to a staggering 14C!!!! Unfortunately the wind was coming from the north east, which meant I couldn't open my lounge window, I'd have been blasted with icy wind, I did have the kitchen door open for about half an hour though - it faces south west!!!! Oh please don't let it be much longer with this cold wind and weather.
Had a message from Emily last night - she's coming back on Tuesday!!!! Yay!! Now her two children have COVID19 but it'll be 12 days from the start of it, by the time Tuesday comes round, so that should be okay. We'll never be rid of the awful virus, so we'll just have to cope with it. It's not so bad if you've had the vaccine, so maybe we'll end up having annual COVID vaccine like we have the Flu ones. I don't care, as long as I don't catch it without protection, my health won't manage to combat it.
I do hope all is well with everyone. My neighbours Anne and Peter come back from their holiday in Portugal tomorrow, they had been hoping to do some walking along the coastline. Peter has almost finished walking the South West coastal path and he's also walking along the top of the Pyranees!!! It's good for him to keep mobile, but he's just turned 72, which is good. Anne likes walking but prefers swimming, so I wonder which she'll do. They are meeting up with some friends of theirs, so Peter won't be on his own if he goes walking without Anne.
My other neighbour, Yvonne, called in to see me as she's just come back from her holiday in Tenerife!!!! She and her husband joined up with some golfing friends of theirs, and while her husband was golfing, she and some of the other wives, lay in the sun - temps were perfect for just lying in the sun - 24C. Not that I'm jealous or anything!!!!!
It did feel very strange though - not having anyone around me, as they were all away at the same time, for the holidays crossed over. Never mind - at least I didn't need them.
Okay folks, I hope you are all okay and may I wish you a very happy weekend. I've just watched the first race in Bahrain in the Formula 1 race. So I'm going to be amused for quite a few weeks now.

Don't worry about not going out much. Neither do I. Unless you talk about drs appointments and the like. Already Florida seems a long time sgo.
Yes covid is here to stay. Its a virus. That genie will never go back in the bottle. But here we are close to normal again. Not perfect but at least improved. Yes your losses are real. You're grieving and rightfully so. Allow yourself some time.

Thanks for understanding how I feel. I feel "lost" if you know what I mean. I don't have a purpose to do things at the moment. I force myself to do things, otherwise I'd just do nothing and that's not good. I hadn't realised how much I actually miss Pippin. He was such a comforting presence and he was someone that I chatted to and also having that warm creature snuggle up to me when I went to bed - I do miss that. I'll get more cats soon - to fill in the gaps in my life.

I'm so glad Emily, and your neighbours, will be back soon. At least you'll have someone nearby, and of course Emily to talk to.
Not quite hitting 14C here, though we have managed 12C and some glorious sunshine which has been good. Same as you though, a brisk, quite cool, wind here too.
It's natural to feel the loss of Pippin, and of course Mickey. Some days will be better than others. I recently found some adorable pics of Bailey from when he was a puppy. I'll post those soon. He was unbelievably cute!
Take care.

I look forward to seeing pics of Bailey, he looked like a teddy bear when he was grown up, which was gorgeous. Mind you - all samoyeds are beautiful
