Downloading album (for Club Members)
Hi to you all !

We corrected a little thing in the METALINK process to help you to download your albums.

The best way to do it is to use FIREFOX (you can temporarily install it) and the addons : DownThemAll! (infortunately it doesn't work anymore on Chrome)
*the addons works with the SeaMonkeys suite too

Once, the addons is installed please go to your albums section > Open an album > Click on Tool > Download entire album
Then click on "Retrieve the download file"

A window will open we recommend to click on "dTa! Oneclick" then "Start"
If the option is not available click on "DownThemAll" > a window will open, do no change anything and click on "Start" > click on "Start" again

It will create a file with your pictures.

Christine is right. It was a ongoing issue for months. So it was time to solve it :-)

Thanks for sorting this out Audrey and for the information. However, I'm more interested in the post you made 5 days ago. As best I can tell the "announcement" you referred to still hasn't been made:

Point taken Audrey and as I've said elsewhere I meant no offence. Everyone on the site (including me) appreciates the work you do and realises that you have the members best interests at heart.

However, all things considered perhaps it might be best to not promise or to suggest something might be forthcoming which you can't control or deliver upon.

Anyway, I send you my best wishes and await further developments with interest! :)

Thank you, I'm sorry if I overreacted about this. It wasn't the point, I understand the frustration about the current situation.

As David says above "DownloadThemAll" does indeed work with Sea Monkey browser.

This is because it is a Mozilla type browser .. actually developed by the same techs.. Its a superb browser I have been using for 13 years !

It still works!

Instead of Firefox, install SeaMonkey 2.49.4:

www.seamonkey-project.org/releases

Then install DownThemAll 3.0.7 available on developers web site:

www.downthemall.org/main/install-it/downthemall-3-0-7

Once, the DownThemAll is installed:

1) go to your albums section > Open an album > Click on Tool > Download entire album.

2) click on "Retrieve the download file".

3) on opening window choose "dTa! Oneclick" and click "Start". If the option is not available click on "DownThemAll" and "Start".

4) on next window choose the destionation folder on your computer, and then click "Start".

Currently this is tested on Windows. Supposedly it should work also on Mac and Linux. Remember, you still have to have a paid ipernity account in order to gain access for options to download images and albums at ipernity.

Use only the given links for SeaMonkey and DownThemAll. The developer of DownThemAll seem to keep most recent up-to-date version on his own web site. We (me and Guido) are going to update FAQ accordingly, and provide instructions to all alternatives we have discovered.

Moreover, on SeaMonkey you may wish to go to about:config (on URL field) and set app.update.auto to false in order to avoid possible browser updates, which may conflict with DownThemAll.
