Having not been a Flickr user I can't add much except that it seems like many of those that do so have not the politeness one expects when comments about items are written in the reply boxes hare

Thanks for your visit and compliments. I have noticed that Ipernity seems more civilised but that maybe because it's smaller.

When I joined Ipernity one year before the mass migration from Flickr there were not many users but they were rather like the users of Multiply where I lived before welcoming us and being very interactive, had done so for 6 years in fact. Of the twelve sites I tried out this one was most like Multiply though on a different software platform, however it was easy to learn and users could upload blogs, videos, slide shows, photos and create links to YouTube for example.
Most of my old friends from MP followed me here so for a while we were the major users, many of us were Pro or Paying users now known as Club members.
The extra cash in the till got the owners going on improvements, then Flickr folk came in adding more cash so more changes.
