She and a friend are going to be coming to England from early morning of the 21st till the 25th.. A quick visit but she gets to see another country.. She loves to travel.. It is during our Thanksgiving and it will be first the holiday of any kind we haven't been together. I told her to go and enjoy as there will be other holidays but not opportunities like this. She and her friend will be staying with a young man from London that she works with. They've all met before when my daughter and her friend went to Ireland..The young man and girlfriend hit it off quite well. It's a bit too much of a long distance relationship though. Still he did come to the States for a week but they are now really all just friends.
I admit to being a tad envious.. I wish I had done this traveling when I was younger..But especially now that I've gotten to know some of you in the UK. I'd love to actually meet you! I think it would be great.. Even though realistically you are all spread out and it would be some trip to meet all of you!
In the last year and a half, not including all the Domestic travel around the country she's done which is quite a lot, she has been to five countries.. Ireland and the Dominican Republic for vacation. Hong Kong and Vietnam for work. Now England for another vacation.. She's seen more in her young 29 years than I have in my old 56 years...Good for her! She'll have no regrets down the road! I've been to Bermuda and Jamaica.. Oh and a long weekend in Canada which is the same as being in the U.S. really.. Of course I've been to a few states.. But I want to get off this continent. Someday I'll get to Europe. At least once I must..
