I am at work and just giving you a quick update. Here at work there is no problem. Surrounding areas and by my home (most of NJ) has no power yet. Gets a bit chilly taking a shower with no heat! We sustained only minor damage to the roof of our home. Nothing that can't be fixed. But hopefully will be before the next rain! They expect us to be without power for upwards of 2 weeks. I hope not... My daughter has power so we may have to move there for a while simply because we can't keep the house warm. I don't even have a fireplace so candle power has been the only heat source..THere are still some family members who I have not been able to reach.. But getting messages from saying that my family is ok... Both Carole and Cherie called my cell yesterday! I was quite surprised (and touched) but had little cell battery and signal so I tried but couldn't answer them.. I did text with both of them. And finally I called Cherei as our land line still is an old fashioned, on the wall phone and THAT still works! Thank Goodness for OLD RELIABLE technology!! I Spoke to her briefly and asked both her and Carol to let those on facebook and here to know I was ok. So for all of you who sent prayers & thoughts my way, Thank you.. I'm hanging in!
