LED street lights....
Im curious, have any of you guys seen LED street lights pop up in your area left? Street lights are starting to use LED technology because they're power consumption is signifacatly less and i've seen them starting to see a few here and there. In Detroit, I've seen parts of main highways now use LED street lighting as well as Consumer's Energy. SCEG where I live still put up mercury and HPS lights everywhere however in one area, Mount Pleasant, the entire city was completely replaced with LED lights. Many of the LED units where swapped using existing street light poles and arms. I noticed some of the LED lights in Detroit and Flint MI looked pretty interesting looking. I was wondering if you've been seeing many yet.

I just took a trip to Massachusett's this weekend and I have to say as of now, LED streets are starting to pop up BIG TIME! I saw them in pretty much every state on the way to MA, especially a long the highway around ramps and rest stops. In Massachusetts, I even seen them replacing the majority of the major lights in the cities and main towns. Overall, I think they look pretty nice, although I bet I will be missing mercury and sodium lights very soon.
