Experimening with HDR

Since joining Ipernity, I have been most impressed by the HDR images posted on this web-site.

I have begun experimenting with HDR, but without using a tripod. My images are the result of attempting to hold the camera in one position whilst taking pairs of photos at different exposures.

At first, I used the Photomatix programme in its trial version, which produces pictures with a Photomatix watermark. Now, I am experimenting with a free software package called QTPFSGUI. This seems very good, but a little slower than Photomatix.

Ready to spread

What I find particularly interesting is the 'ghosting effect' that occurs if someone or something moves during the capturing of the two images in a pair.

You may view my efforts in the album: https://www.ipernity.com/doc/adam/album/75212

i am nearly in the same stage like you - i think it is nessessary to use tril versions. For examle Adobe do not explain what is covereed by the software.
I do like to have also a hard cover of the software, and in the media Shop they sayed - They will supply me with the same conditions like the downloaded program.

The software reccommended by Kenny is indeed easy to use, and in the trial version it is only neccessary to do a little cropping at the base of the picture to get rid of the compan'ys logo.
