Part 5—Dreams of a Big Flower Garden: What Did I Plant?

This is my master list of the flowers and bulbs I planted this year. I may add a sorted version below this one to identify which are annuals, biennials and perennials. I need to keep track of what species germinated (and how many?), which seem to be dead, and other notes. I may add pictures as they bloom or maybe I'll do that a different way. For now, this is my list. If you have experience with any of these flowers, I'd really be interested to know that you have to say! (Easy to grow, bugs eat it, etc.) (By the way, the list of poppy species is lengthy because the "Million Poppy Seed Kit" that I got is a mixture of many different species, so I listed them all.

I only know a few among them Janet most likely because in USA they have different popular names to the English without checking the Latin names.
Hollyhocks I do know, they were very popular in England in the 19th and early 20th century, I even have a few here.

Look forward to seeing photos whenever you upload some.

Oh my goodness Janet - you are going to have a most delightful garden if they all come up. The photo you have here is just stunning. Some of the plants you have listed above are very easy to grow, but there are some there that I've not heard of. I look forward to seeing the photos of the garden as the seeds appear to bloom.

Janet Brien replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Yes, we'll see about the success rate. MANY of the species are not germinating (yet). We'll see if they have a long germination time or if they are just plain dead seeds. No worries, the poppies I've planted in every section are popping up like gangbusters to fill in any sections that don't perform with what they're supposed to. So much fun! :)
