Pegelschlange

Die Pegelschlange an der Weser in Minden ist 11,20 m hoch. Sie steht auf der Stadtblänke, die als Überflutungsbereich künstlich angelegt wurde. Die Pegelschlange wurde auf Initiative des Vereins "Weserfreunde" von einem Künstlerkollektiv geschaffen und Anfang 2022 aufgestellt. Ich finde, sie ist sehr gut gelungen. Siehe auch das nächste Bild.

Letztes Jahr war es im März sehr trocken, und wir hatten einen niedrigen Pegel in der Weser. In diesem Jahr hatten wir viel Niederschlag und der Pegel ist hoch.

Im nächsten Bild sieht man die ganze Pegelschlange. Wenn die rote Markierung erreicht ist, wird es brenzlich.

Ha, ha....I looks at this image first and was getting a bit confused as to how the level indicator worked until I saw your "see also the previous picture" note..........and behold everything became clear :-)

Such a wonderful idea......the level stands out beautifully due to the striking black and yellow colours and I love the sinuous shape.
