Brasilia

Cathedral(centre) and carillon by Oscar Niemeyer whose architecture is breathtaking in design, and fascinating in execution, I am truly amazed by him…and his design for this whole city in the shape of an airliner, with its key administrative buildings along the axis and wings is a marvel to explore.

An amazing building indeed, but for my taste it's the contrary of a cathedral!! It looks more like an exhibiton hall or sports stadium...

Easy to see why you like this architect so much Diana................it's certainly beautiful. The cathedral looks amazing, but I'm guessing it's design might be a bit controversial for some?

Great composition............and perfect in black and white...........the mono tones are superb!
