The guardians of Noraduz
The ancient cemetery of Noraduz, in rural Armenia. It contains the largest collection of giant khachkars ( standing grave stones) still surviving in Armenia. The oldest khachkars in the cemetery date back to the late 10th century. They saw Tamerlane sweep through, and survived wars and invasions galore! The two babushkas were on guard during our visit!
