Lumholtz tree kangaroo...in the wild
These are quite rare marsupials. This one is 8 meters up a tree, but they also hop along the ground like land dwelling kangaroos. Their sharp claws and better developed forearms enable them to very quickly climb up and down very tall trees. This was on the Atherton Tableland in Queensland, Australia, where we were so lucky to see a family of 4 animals in a stand of trees.
