Serious fences

These fences would have to rate highly on any scale of importance! HFF and best wishes for the weekend, everyone.

They sure do need to rate highly... it could be quite scary living at the base....

HFF, George, and a good weekend to you, too. This is why I like living in the flatlands. The main problem with snow here is clearing it.

They certainly are interesting George...and unusual.
Hope they help to hold the snow from the town below!
HFF and all the best fit the weekend.

HFF to you and yours, George. I'm intrigued as to how these seemingly flimsy fences would stem an avalanche. Are they stronger than they look, or are avalanches merely sound and fury, signifying nothing? Enquiring minds would love to know.

Wow, what a cool shot (literally.) Those fences are real life savers. My cortisol would not like living under them though. ;-)

HFF to you, George!

They are at quite an angle and would be pretty effective I think. However I think I would plant more trees. They make a great photo with the houses dwarfed by the mountain.
