Letterboxes
More roadside letterboxes. These are down the valley south of Braidwood. The postman travels only on the major road and properties off on side roads have rather personalised letterboxes grouped where the sideroads enter. I think Pam might enjoy this.
In the late 1860s, this was the area where the Clarke bushranging gang mainly operated, with the tacit support of their friends and relatives. In late 1866, frustrated at their lack of progress, the Special Constables (see previous images) began to arrest many of those people on charges such as receiving stolen property, harbouring criminals, etc.
