Aged shiraz

Australia's Barossa Valley avoided the ravages of phylloxera which decimated European vines in the late 19th century, so these old shiraz vines, at about 170 years, are among the world's oldest. Can't have a good wine without a song. :-)

I live in the Adelaide hills among the vines and have a very close familiarity with them through lots of voluntary picking for friends! Paid in wine and food.....
