I have often wondered if there are individual differences in perception of saturation, but haven't found any confirmation of that. I do know that news sites' collections of best photos of the week tend to be dominated by photos of saturated blues and oranges. Perhaps most people see drabber colours than you and I do.

Yes, I suspect that there are individual differences in the way people see colors and how much saturation feels beautiful vs. gag-inducing.
One factor that could play into this is that older people may have dimmer vision due to cataracts. I know that when my father-in-law had his removed, he was astonished how much brighter the world had become....

I like your idea for a 'Naturalistic colours' group!. I confess to being as guilty as anyone but I try not to overdo it and in any event I only have the very basic Google editing tool!
