Smoky Sunset

I tweeted this snapshot of our smoky sunset last night and it got picked up by the local media (see PIP.)
Even though the wildfire that caused the smoke is far away, the quirky wind patterns in the Bay Area blew it all the way to the ocean where we are.
It's on days like these that one truly appreciates the value of clean, fresh air ....

A fine photo, so no surprise it got picked up.

Smoke carries a long way -- a few summers ago Toronto spent weeks smelling wildfires in Alberta. I suppose the problem in California is that the mountains hold a lot of the smoke in place.

Many health problems are associated with these massive pollution events, so take care and all the best.

Yes, it's been bad, and our normally trustworthy west wind hasn't kicked in. If things aren't better by tomorrow, may try to escape for a day or so by going south, but may need to go as far as Monterey.

C'est désolant de voir brûler des coins entiers de Los Angeles
Et votre président qui n'adhère pas au plan pour sauver la planète.
D'après les média il aurait son propre plan

Something we know very well in Spain and especially this year (2022). An excellent capture!
