Western Gull & Fence

I don't love seagulls as much as my learned friend seagullsteve.blogspot.com, but given how abundant they are around the Bay, they simply happen to be in front of the camera a lot.

Each time I visit Brighton its seagulls seem to grow larger and more intimidating. They will soon take over.

John FitzGerald replied to Steve Bucknell:

It's all the discarded fish and chips and pizza, Steve. People have to become serious about safe disposal of their fast food before it's too late.

Schrödinger's seagull. He could be any colour behind that railing. Excellent composition and a fine capture, which I see was done on an iPhone. Great work.

And HFF.

Sarah P. replied to John FitzGerald:

Thank you, and love the idea of Schrödinger's seagull. I'm just a half-assed birder, and seagulls are hard to classify even by my betters, so the idea of a weird species hiding behind a fence appeals to me immensely.
