There was a flog of ~20 birds outside my office window. They stayed there at least for an hour. Long enough for me and my colleague to take plenty of shots.
They are actually rather common here. They can stay rather late in autumn and winter, gathering especially to eat rowan berries. Unfortunately sometimes they become very drunk, and crash onto windows. During summer one of course hardly ever sees them.
And also explains why in some years they may not become seen in Denmark either. They can spent the whole winter living with rowan berries and thanks to people feeding them during the cold months in January and February. They are real survivors!
