Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Nouchetdu38:

Thank you Nouchet. Many of the pubs along the canal rely on them....and they rely on the pubs ;-)) I wish you a nice evening also.

Such a lovely location................three nicely composed images taken in beautiful sunshine - although the sky in two of the images looks quite threatening.

My only experience of the Kennet & Avon canal has been at Newbury. I must try and get up that way soon. I think it's only a couple hours drive :-)

Three lovely photographs, Rosa, documenting life on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Reminds me of the time when I went on a barge holiday. Cheers, Joe

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Joe, Son of the Rock:

Very kind of you Joe, thank you. I really enjoyed my day on this canal last year, especially when my sister-in-law cooked breakfast for us :-)) Cheers, Rosa.

Thank you Keith. The clouds soon passed thankfully.
I think the best walks/cycle along the K&A are from Limpley Stoke from the Dundas Aqueduct to Bath. It's just over 5 miles, and is completely flat. Have to admit I have only ever cycled it and that was some time ago!

A wonderful set of images Rosalyn, it wouldn't have looked so idilic the last couple of days !! I'm not keen on towpath walking, even though hills are getting steeper !!!!!!

Three lovely scenes of the canal, it looks a very nice peaceful place...I love those cosy houses, is it a pub the one in the second Pip?
