Ashmore ~ Circa 1962

Two pictures taken by my father. The originals are much sharper. My scanner is not working so I took photos of them. This is me with my second brother Raymond. The two large trees are no longer there.

It is Ulrich. I am so glad my father always had a camera around his neck ;-)

The pond seems smaller and there seems to be a fence around the road (perhaps), but it's so nice that you still have these happy memories, Rosa.

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Amelia:

It really is all still the same, except for the two big trees Amelia. It's a village with little through traffic so that is probably why so little has changed there.

It's always with tenderness that we contemplate the beautiful pictures taken during our youth !

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Pat Del:

It is Pat. Photographs help us to remember so many happy days. I wish I had taken more in my teenage years, but we were having too much fun to bother with a camera :)

The quality of the composition is not diminished by technical failure Rosa. Great to see these old shots.

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Doug Shepherd:

Thank you Doug. Appreciate your kind comments. My father also printed these himself.

Ahhh, that's very nice to see you and your brother in earlier times Rosa...
It's a pity that the trees are not there for now...

These are lovely memories! Comparing now and then it's good to see how much has remained unchanged. I guess the trees got old and unsafe.
