recently i was thinking about how each art genre seems to include that genre in the art.

rock songs talk about singing. literature mentions writing, painters paint themselves painting. and so i thought a photograph of a photograph would be appropriate for World Photography Day.

that's a photo of myself and our son and daughter (from about 12 years ago). i had the kids out to a park to do portraits of them when a stranger asked if i would like a photo of all three of us. it's one of my all time favorite photos.

the flowers in the foreground are from a head wreath bought in Avebury, England on the summer solstice. happily, since they aren't real flowers, i can continue to enjoy them.
